EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Spotswood School District is mourning the loss of longtime Schoenly School kindergarten teacher Janice Cooper. Cooper passed away on Monday, March 2 after a difficult and lengthy battle with cancer. According to her obituary, she was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her death. She was 47 and leaves behind a husband and two children. Cooper was born and raised in East Brunswick and taught for the Spotswood School District for more than 15 years touching the lives of countless students.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6 from 2 p.m to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Brunswick Memorial Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 11 a.m. at the Brunswick Memorial Home. Cooper will be laid to rest at the Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick following the service.
The Brunswick Memorial Home is located at 454 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick.
