SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Tuesday, July 7 is Primary Day in New Jersey. However, unlike in past primaries, New Jersey voters are being strongly encouraged to complete the vote-by-mail ballots mailed to all registered voters earlier this spring. Completed ballots can be returned to special vote-by-mail ballot boxes located at municipal buildings throughout Middlesex County. There are three ballot boxes in the area including the:
- Jamesburg Municipal Complex at 131 Perrineville Road
- Milltown Municipal Complex at 39 Washington Avenue
- East Brunswick Municipal Complex at 1 Civic Center Drive
While in-person voting is being strongly discouraged by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, one polling place in Spotswood will be open on Primary Day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus located at 30 Crescent Avenue. Only handicapped voters will be able to vote on a voting machine. All other registered voters choosing to vote in-person must vote by provisional ballot.
All voters going to the Knights of Columbus must wear a mask and abide by social distancing guidelines. Residents with voting questions can contact Spotswood Municipal Clerk Patricia DeStefano by calling 732-407-9189 or be emailing email@example.com.
