MILLTOWN, NJ - Borough mayoral candidates discussed the issues on Wednesday night at the annual Milltown Candidates Forum. Democratic Councilwoman Trina Jensen Mehr and Republican Councilman Richard Revolinsky are running for mayor on November 5. Milltown Mayor Eric Steeber is not seeking re-election. The October 23 forum included reporter questions from local media outlets the Home News Tribune, Sentinel and as well as previously submitted audience questions. Each candidate gave an opening and a closing statement. Topics ranged from the borough's aging infrastructure to government transparency, shared services and property maintenance. Mehr and Revolinsky also shared their perspectives on keeping Milltown's historic appeal while moving forward with revitalization. The pair discussed potential uses for the borough's historic firehouses and Ford Avenue.
