HELMETTA, NJ - New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is encouraging all Garden State voters to cast their vote in the 2020 election by mail. However, the borough will still have one polling place open on November 3 at the Helmetta Community Center. Poll workers are needed. The last day to register to vote in the upcoming election on Tuesday, November 3 is Tuesday, October 13. Residents interested in registering to vote prior to the October 13 deadline can find voter registration information on the Middlesex County website.
Completed mail-in ballots must be postmarked by November 3 in order to be counted. Any resident not receiving a mail-in ballot in the upcoming weeks, should contact the Middlesex County Clerk's Office. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot for the upcoming General Election is Friday, October 23. Mail-in ballot boxes are located in several spots throughout Middlesex County.
