HELMETTA, NJ - Dr. Steph is in the house! Stephanie Caputo is a doctor of physical therapy at Core Spine & Wellness in East Brunswick, and she is Tuesday's Helmetta Hometown Hero. Caputo has been a resident of Helmetta for the past three years and like many moms in the Spotswood School District, she is balancing remote learning for her kids along with her professional career. While helping to teach her kids at home, Caputo remains on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis as she continues to treat patients in her office.
"Our mom is always willing to help others no matter what," said Caputo's daughter Stella. "It’s why we love her and why her patients love her too!"
When she is not at work or helping her kids with their distance learning, Caputo loves spending time with her family and going for a run. One of her favorite thing to do with her kids is to go to the movies.
If you know a Helmetta Hometown Hero like Caputo who is on the frontline of the coronavirus crisis, send borough Mayor Chris Slavicek an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Nominations should include the person's name, a brief description of their job, what makes them a hometown hero and a photograph.
