HELMETTA, NJ - Longtime borough resident Kristin Dolce is the Chief of the Jamesburg Volunteer First Aid Squad. An Emergency Medical Technician since 1989, Dolce is an EMT instructor and on the National Registry of EMT. During the coronavirus pandemic, Dolce has diligently coordinated with the local Office of Emergency Management and the Public Safety team. She works hard to ensure all her emergency medical technicians are properly protected from the coronavirus by making sure they have the necessary protective equipment. Dolce is Monday's Helmetta Hometown Hero for her efforts in the frontline of the COVID-19 crisis, answering calls and leading her team.

"Kristin volunteers her time and brings her experience and wisdom as Chief of the JFAS to lead a team of amazing volunteers," said Jamesburg Mayor Marlene Lowande. "She works in Jamesburg and is a valuable member of the Jamesburg community. So thankful for all she does."

When she is not working, Dolce loves playing softball and spending time with friends. Her compassion doesn't stop with people. Dolce is an avid animal lover and rescues dogs and cats.
