HELMETTA, NJ - Over 800 borough residents are without power on Tuesday afternoon as a result of Monday evening's storms which knocked down power lines. According to the JCP&L area manager, the outage may continue through Wednesday as crews assess the damage. Helmetta Mayor Chris Slavicek, who is without power as well, is throwing an impromtu Power Pizza Party tonight at the Maple Street Pavilion to help residents ease the stress of the lengthy outage. The Power Pizza Party is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
