SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The borough is seeking a new janitorial service. Sealed bids are being accepted through Friday, December 20 at 10 a.m. The following public notice was posted on the Spotswood Borough website:
BOROUGH OF SPOTSWOOD
Sealed bids will be received by the Municipal Clerk of the Borough of Spotswood in the
Spotswood Municipal Building, 77 Summerhill Road, Spotswood, NJ 08884, on December 20,
2019, at 10:30 AM prevailing time, when bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for:
2020 JANITORIAL SERVICES CONTRACT
for the Borough of Spotswood in accordance with specifications on file in the office of the
Municipal Clerk, 77 Summerhill Road, Spotswood, NJ 08884, during regular business hours of
8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, where said specifications may be examined and
where copies may be obtained by prospective Bidders.
The project generally consists of janitorial services for the Borough of Spotswood as described
in the specifications.
Each bid must be submitted enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to "Alyssa
Guglietti, Acting Municipal Clerk," and plainly marked on the outside "Bid for 2020 Janitorial
Services," including the name of the Bidder and be delivered to the Borough Municipal Building,
77 Summerhill Road, Spotswood, NJ 08884, on, before, or at the day and time of the bid
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et
seq. (Affirmative Action).
Bidders are required to submit a statement of Ownership with their bid as required by P.L. 1977,
c. 33 (Disclosure of Ownership).
The Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids received and to accept any bid which is
deemed most favorable to the Borough of Spotswood, Middlesex County, NJ, at the time and
under the conditions stipulated.
The Borough is not responsible for the loss or destruction of any bids mailed or delivered to the
Municipal Clerk prior to the time set for the bid opening.
There will be no pre-bid conference.
Walk-through of facilities will be accommodated upon written request.
