MILLTOWN, NJ - All fishing has been suspended in borough waterways by the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife until further notice. The action was taken because of a fuel spill on Route One. Runoff from the spill has made its way into Milltown waterways. The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife will be visiting the borough on Saturday, April 25 in order to further evaluate the situation according to a Nixle advisory released by the Milltown Police Department. The MPD stated in the advisory that at the current time there has not been any reported risk to public health. When information is available, the Milltown Police Department will provide residents with an update on the situation.
