MILLTOWN, NJ - Borough residents wishing to hold a garage sale during the upcoming months may now apply for a permit. Permits are $5 and are available through the Borough Clerk's Office. Applications can be downloaded online. Completed applications and payment should be placed in the dropbox at the side of the Municipal Building on Washington Avenue or mailed. Payment should be made by check. Residents should allow at least a week in order to receive their permit.
Permits will be emailed so residents should be sure to include their email address along with their application. If a resident does not have an email address, the permit will be mailed. According to borough ordinances, residents can have two garage sales per calendar year, lasting not more than two consecutive days.
