MILLTOWN, NJ - Check those lottery tickets. One winning Jersey Cash 5 ticket was sold at the Acme on Ryders Lane in the borough. The other was sold in Maple Chek on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood. The winners from Middlesex and Essex Counties will split the $100,000 prize, giving each a $50,000 payday. The winning numbers are 2, 9, 16, 27 and 33. The XTRA number is 2.

“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot tickets were sold at Maple Chek and Acme #2916," Acting Executive Director James Carey said. "The retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for each winning
ticket sold. Overnight, they have become two more ‘lucky locations’ for the very fortunate lottery
winners.”

More than 250,000 tickets were purchased for the Tuesday, August 6 Jersey Cash 5 drawing. According to a press release by the New Jersey Lottery, adding XTRA, for an additional dollar per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn. So, for the August 6 drawing non-jackpot winners had their prizes multiplied by two if they purchased the XTRA number.

Jersey Cash 5 players that matched four of the five numbers drawn won $443. There were 47 ticketholders that matched four of five. Thirteen others won $886 wih the addition of the XTRA number. Players that matched three of the five numbers won $14 with those adding the XTRA number netting $28. According to the New Jersey Lottery, 1,715 had three numbers correct and another 366 had the XTRA number too. Finally, 4,066 Jersey Cash 5 players matched two of the five numbers with the addition of the XTRA number, winning $2.
