SPOTSWOOD, NJ - PSE&G has set up a hotline for borough residents to call in regard to the ongoing gas line replacement project. Since the project began late last summer residents have been dealing with road closures, detours, trenches in the roadways and residual dirt in streets outside their homes. Many have launched complaints about the process during the public portion of borough council meetings.
According to information posted on the Spotswood borough website, the Spotswood Police Department does not receive advance notice of what streets will be impacted with construction each day. However, advance notice is given for paving projects. Charles Street is scheduled to be paved on Friday, February 28.
The Spotswood Police Department does release Nixle advisories on street closures and detours. Residents can sign up to receive Nixle advisories from the SPD on the Spotswood Borough website.
Residents with issues regarding PSE&G's ongoing gas line replacement project can telephone the hotline number at 833-661-6400.
