SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Grinch was back in the borough on Wednesday despite the snow squalls that surprised Middlesex County in the afternoon. Yesterday's December chill certainly did not keep the crowds away as people of all ages stood in line to have photo ops with the Grinch. This year the Spotswood High School Troupers were on hand as well under the direction of Spotswood High School English, Drama and Communication Arts teacher Annie Raczko to sing holiday carols. The Grinch was escorted to different stops in Spotswood and Helmetta to greet his growing number of fans by the Spotswood Police Department.
Alexa, Ava and Nathan Pulaski came from Old Bridge on Wednesday to meet the Grinch, who has become a holiday celebrity in Spotswood as well as surrounding communities. The kids enjoyed meeting the Grinch and of course playing in the light snow that accumulated on the grassy surfaces surrounding the Schoenly School. Schoenly was the Grinch's first stop. His last stop was at the Maple Street Pavilion. The Grinch's first visit to the borough was back in 2016.
