SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Jessica Addesso and Allison Clarke received Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division honors for their performances on the court with the Spotswood High School girls varsity basketball team this season. Addesso was tapped for the GMC All-Blue Division first team while Clarke was named to the GMC's All-Blue Division second team.

Addesso is in her final season as a Charger. The senior scored 227 points in 23 games this season and has 520 career points wearing blue and gold. Clarke is in only her second season as a Charger. The six-foot sophomore scored 208 points in 28 games this season. She also pulled down 197 rebounds. Clarke made the varsity as a freshman and appeared in seven games last season and netted 14 points. Both Addesso and Clarke were a big part of Spotswood's offense and defense this season.

Addesso was recently honored at the 34th Annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day at Seton Hall University. Clarke earned six double-doubles this year. A double-double is when a player puts up double digit stats in two of the five categories. 

The Chargers' regular season concludes on Thursday when Spotswood hosts North Brunswick High School at the Spotswood High School Gymnasium at 4 p.m. North Brunswick has an overall record of 15-8 and is 13-5 in the Greater Middlesex Conference. Spotswood has lost its last three meetings with North Brunswick including a 42-34 loss in February 2019. Spotswood plays top seeded Rumson-Fair Haven High School on Tuesday in the first round of the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group Two Tournament. The Chargers are the 16th seed in the sectional tournament.
