SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - The Spotswood High School girls varsity soccer team shut out South Plainfield High School 2-0 on Monday behind an 11-save outing from senior Julia Masucci. Kirti Craig netted her first goal of the season and assisted on a goal from junior Vada Leaver. The goal was Leaver's first varsity goal. Leaver was played with injuries her first two seasons as a Charger. Junior Laci Brown earned her first point of the season as well, assisting on Craig's goal. South Plainfield's Adrianna Nazarko made 12 saves.

Spotswood's next game will be Thursday when the Chargers host Metuchen High School at the Spotswood High School Varsity Soccer Field. The Bulldogs have won their first three outings this season. Game time is 4 p.m.
