ONEONTA, N.Y. -- The Milltown 12U baseball team will be embarking on a trip to Cooperstown All-Star Village for a week of games against teams from all over the country.

Milltown will set out for upstate New York on Saturday for the opening ceremonies of the nearly week-long tournament and then get ready for its first game on Sunday.

The Milltown team, coached by Eric Oleksy, Colin Cumiskey, Steve Spisso and Mark Obriski, recently won the District 10 Tournament and participated in the Section 3 Tournament, where the team won one game out of three.

The schedule at All-Star Village gets under way with two games on Sunday. At 12:20 p.m., Milltown will play against a team from Lake Mary, Fla., and then take on Gulderland of New York at 5:40 p.m. Pool play involves six games played over three days, leading up to a single-elimination tournament that is scheduled to begin on Wednesday.
