SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Bulldogs came to town on Monday to end the Spotswood High School girls varsity soccer team's unbeaten streak, but after two overtime periods, the matchup ended in a draw. Spotswood and Metuchen High School played to a 0-0 tie. The Chargers remain one of three undefeated teams in the Greater Middlesex Conference. Colonia High School is 3-0-1, South River High School is 5-0 and the Chargers are 5-0-1. Spotswood's Julia Masucci made nine saves in the tie while her counterpart Nika Rockafeller made two. Spotswood travels to Edison on Wednesday to take on Wardlaw-Hartridge High School. Game time is 4 p.m. Wardlaw-Hartridge is 5-1. This is the first meeting between the two teams this season.
