MIDDLESEX, NJ - After a string of losses, the Spotswood High School boys varsity basketball team won its third straight over Middlesex High School on Friday. The Chargers won the back-and-forth game 53-53 to improve their overall record to 8-10 and their conference record to 6-7. Andrew Bishara was Spotswood's hot hand with 16 points. Jack Welsh netted 12 points while Kyle Davey and James Clarke both scored seven points. Casey Cumiskey had six. George Guyette added three while Darius Harrison chipped in two.
Spotswood is back on the court on Tuesday when the team travels to Lamberville to play South Hunterdon High School at 7 p.m. This is the first meeting between the two team. South Hunterdon has an overall record of 9-5 and is 6-2 in the Skyland Conference.
