CARTERET, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys basketball team lost 75-33 to Carteret High School on Friday. The Ramblers had three players net double digits including Starell Hearns who earned a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Carteret's Elijah Colon was the game's top scorer with 22 points and Camron McCargo put up 21.
James Clarke was the leading scorer for Spotswood. The senior dropped 15 points. George Guyette added six for Spotswood. The Chargers were down 32-17 by the halftime break and were held to only 15 points in the final two quarters. Carteret scored 29 points in the third quarter to put the game out of reach. Spotswood's loss drops the team's overall record to 2-3. The Chargers are 1-1 in division play. Spotswood is back on the court this afternoon against New Egypt High School. Game time is 1 p.m.
