SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys varsity basketball team ran into a rolling St. Thomas Aquinas team on Monday. The Trojans handed the Chargers an 89-44 loss. St. Thomas had a commanding 47-18 lead at the halftime break. Quadry Adams dropped 20 for St. Thomas who also got 15 points each on the scoreboard from Jaquan Harris and Samar Abdullah. Jalen Harris netted double digits as well for the Trojans with 10.

George Guyette was Spotswood's top scorer with 15. Jack Welsh, Andrew Bishara, Casey Cumiskey and James Clarke all scored six for Spotswood. Spotswood looks to get back into the win column on Wednesday when the Chargers host South River High School at 7 p.m. at the Spotswood High School Gymnasium.

South River won both meetings between the two rivals last season. The Rams have lost their last three games and have an overall record of 2-6 this year. Spotswood is winless in four with an overall record of 2-5. Game time is 7 p.m.
