SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys varsity basketball team made a strong showing on the court against 16-2 Dunellen High School. Dunellen defeated the Chargers 68-59. The Destroyers were lead by Tyje Kelton who dropped 25 points. Spotswood was down by 10 at the half, but rallied in the final two quarters, outscoring the Destroyers 35-32. James Clarke was Spotswood's top scorer with 16 points. George Guyette put up 14 for the Chargers and Roman Caron netted 11. Jack Andrulewich added nine and Andrew Bishara chipped in seven. Jalen Thomas scored 13 for Dunellen.

The loss drops Spotswood's overall record to 10-12. Spotswood hosts Monroe Township High School on Wednesday at the Spotswood High School Gymnasium. The two teams did not meet on the court last season. However, the Falcons have the edge over the Chargers winning three out of the last five matchups between the two teams. Monroe has an overall record of 11-10 and have won their last three outings. Tip off is at 6 p.m.
