SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood High School boys varsity soccer team ran into a Highland Park High School team on a roll on Wednesday. The Chargers were shut out by the streaking Owls 5-0. Highland Park is 7-1 and earned their third straight shutout with yesterday's win. Alex Weiner-Goldsmith had one goal and one assist while Harry Pestka, Matthew Lu, Robin Pestka and Ben Godish all chipped in goals. Tim Ruggiero had two assists and Rohan Thompson had one. Michael Halkias made nine saves for the shutout and Andrew Bishara made 14 saves for Spotswood.

The Chargers look to rebound against Metuchen High School on Friday after two straight losses. Spotswood blanked the Bulldogs in the previous meeting between the two teams. Game time is 4 p.m. at Metuchen High School.
