SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Niyell McCargo dropped 20 points for North Brunswick High School on Thursday as the Raiders defeated the Spotswood High School girls varsity basketball team 47-33. Jessica Addesso led Spotswood with nine points. Allison Clarke and Maddie Hellerich both scored six points and grabbed six rebounds. Kirti Craig also netted six points. Giana Oelkers and Gianna Perez both chipped in two points. Jackie Gialanella pulled down six rebounds.

The loss to North Brunswick was Spotswood's final regular season game for the 2019-20 season. Spotswood travels to Rumson on Tuesday for the first round of the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group Two Sectional Tournament. Rumson-Fair Haven High School is the top seed in the tournament. Spotswood is the 16th seed with a 12-14 overall record. This will be the first meeting between the two teams. Rumson-Fair Haven has dropped its last three games and has an overall record of 18-8. Tip off is at 7 p.m.
