NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - After winning the team's season opener last week, the Spotswood High School girls varsity tennis team lost 5-0 to North Brunswick High School on Monday. Gabriela Zeron lost her first singles match, (6-0, 6-0), to Erin Tan while Karen Mausser dropped her second singles match to Alisha Patel, (6-1, 6-2). Axelle Lemiere lost her third singles match to Juhi Grover, (6-2, 6-0). Chloe Donelan and Lindsey Michaels lost their first doubles match to Heer Patel and Vedika Sengar, (6-0, 6-0), while Angelina Moschella and Melody Dzergoski dropped their second doubles match to Rima Peddi and Olivia Szulc, (6-0, 6-0).

The loss evens the Chargers' overall record to 1-1. Spotswood is back on the court on Friday for a match with Perth Amboy High School. The Chargers will travel to Warren Park in Woodbridge for the 4 p.m. matchup. Perth Amboy's first match of the season is on Wednesday against North Brunswick.
