TAPintoTravels - If you saw our article, you know about the Polar Bear Plunge this Saturday to support the Special Olympics.  If you cannot be there, but want to see the festivities, this press release tells you how you can.

WHAT: Tomorrow, February 24 from 9am-1pm ET, thousands of people will make a mad dash into the cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean just off the coast of Seaside Heights, NJ…and it’s all for a great cause! Be a part of the annual Seaside Heights Polar Bear Plunge with EarthCam’s live streaming cameras located right on the famous Jersey Shore boardwalk.

WHY: The Polar Bear Plunge is held each year to raise money for Special Olympics New Jersey, a non-profit organization that provides free year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 25,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities. Last year, nearly 7,000 swimmers took to the icy waters and raised more than $1.9 million, setting a new Polar Bear Plunge Record. Here’s hoping that the 2018 event can beat that!
