2016 Montclair High School Graduate Releases Book: Stand With Me

MONTCLAIR, NJ - Self-proclaimed social justice advocate, Corban S. Walker, of Montclair, has recently released his first book entitled Stand With Me.

According to a release, the 2016 Montclair High School graduate's book of poetry touches upon matters of social justice and is intended by the author to serve as conversation starters to engage readers to think and dive deep into current social issues.  

Slated to attend Cleveland State University this fall, Walker wrote that he plans to "pursue his ever-expanding dream of success and leaving a legacy of impact".

Walker's diverse interests includes fencing, music, writing, and raising awareness of social inequalities pertaining to minorities through social media. 

Walker stated that "...change comes from broadcasting one’s voice along with purposeful actions."

He further mentioned that he has a "...personal commitment to raising awareness," which has included participating in activist marches, social media campaigns and personal one on one interaction with diverse groups, and says that he will continue to travel the country speaking on topics that impact the African American community and society at large.
