MONTCLAIR, NJ - This past Friday, Josh Weston generously donated a 3D printer, digitizer, and 10 rolls of filament to Mount Hebron Middle School. As a result, this coming Spring 2015, Mount Hebron is planning a mini workshop for eighth-grade students, introducing 3D printing into the STEM program.

The impetus for this project was created earlier by Weston when he supported similar endeavors at other schools and at Montclair High School.  This past fall, Lynn English, who is both a science teacher and STEM administrator at Montclair High, contacted Daniel Taylor to invite him to attend a three-day workshop with MakerBot at Picatinny Arsenal.

Weston who supported this program, encouraged Daniel Gerdes, Lisa Gary and Daniel Taylor (all Mount Hebron teachers) to attend. The skills learned at this workshop were integral in the effort to bring 3D printing to Mount Hebron.

Mount Hebron thanked the Weston family for their generous donation and staff expressed eagerness at introducing the new equipment and skills to their students in 2015.
