Area Independence Day Fireworks Start July 1 and Continue Through July 4


ESSEX COUNTY, NJ - Fireworks displays in Essex County start July 1, and continue every night until Independence Day. Residents will be able to see fireworks in Cedar Grove, Verona, Essex County Brookdale Park, Bloomfield, Montclair, and Nutley. 

The Cedar Grove fireworks 2018 display will take place on Sunday, July 1 at Panther Park Field from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The Verona fireworks will be held July 2 at the Verona Community Center Complex, located at 880 Bloomfield Avenue from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Essex County Brookdale Park Belletones & Total Soul Concert with Fireworks takes place July 3 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 

Montclair's Independence Day celebrations begin the morning of July 4 with the annual parade. 

The 150th themed parade begins at 11:00 a.m. along a 1.6-mile route traveling west on Bloomfield Avenue, north on Midland Avenue, continuing to Watchung Avenue, west to Valley Road and ending at Edgemont Park, the site of the town picnic. The parade is a rain or shine event and will feature sesquicentennial themed floats and performances by the Fralinger String Band of the Philadelphia Mummers, the Lesbian & Gay Big Apple Corps, St. Columcille United Gaelic Pipe Band, Essex and Union County Marching Band, Wayne Raiders Drum & Bugle Corps and plenty more spectacular performances. Watch for your local favorites in the 2018 line-up, such as the Montclair Community Band, Scouts, Uncle Sam on Stilts, Dan the Big Bike Man, Civil War marchers, Isabella and her hula hoops, community groups and organizations with floats and marchers, fire engines, antique cars, and much, much more in store, including everyone's favorite -- Elvis.

The Township of Bloomfield’s Annual Independence Day Celebration will be held at Foley Field on Wednesday, July 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Nutley Celebrates the Fourth of July with Fireworks at the Oval on July 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 

Montclair's fireworks take place at Yogi Berra Stadium. Gates open 6:30 p.m.FEE: Admission is $3 per person or $10 for family (family = up to 6 people; $2 per person over 6 people); kids 5 and under -- free.
