Montclair Cooperative School is pleased to present the first occasion in our Lifelong Learners Speaker Series, which brings innovative thinkers, creators, and speakers to share research, work, and experiences that engage the Montclair Co-op and our neighboring communities.

Please join us on April 26th at 6:30 pm in the annex for a screening and discussion of BEYOND BORDERS: Undocumented Mexican-Americans, a deeply moving documentary film by Producer-Director Micah Fink and Composer Amanda Harberg who are also parents of Lucas Fink '18 and proud members of the Montclair Co-op Community.

BEYOND BORDERS explores the circumstances that have led millions of Mexican workers to settle in the US over the past four decades, reveals the policy decisions that have defined their decisions and have defined their experience, explores the remarkable networks connecting them with the families they've left behind, and makes plain the very real human impact of the current anti-immigration backlash.

A Q&A opportunity with the filmmakers will follow the screening. Please join us for this timely film and engaging dialogue. Adults and students from 5th grade and up are encouraged to attend.  The event is open to the community at large so please pass on the information and  invite your friends.
