BLOOMFIELD, NJ-- The life of former Councilwoman Margaret "Peggy" Dunigan was honored at the February 26th Town Council meeting where a Resolution celebrating the life and mourning the passing of Dunigan, a three term Councilwoman and fixture in the community, was read by Mayor Michael Venezia.

The resolution outlined her vast civic involvement, her passionate support for public safety in the township and her many accolades including Deputy Grand Marshal of the Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade and her induction into the Essex County Democratic Committee Hall of Fame.  

A copy of the resolution was presented to the Dunigan family and Councilwoman Dunigan's daughter Traecy then addressed the Mayor and Council, emotionally thanking them for the honor.
