BLOOMFIELD, NJ-- The Roxy Florist building, a staple in Bloomfield Center since 1956, was torn down today. The building, located at 328 Glenwood Avenue, on the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and Washington Street, was heavily damaged during an early morning fire on January 21, 2020. Information on the fire can be found here.
Tax records still show the building owner as Nicholas Zois, the long time owner of Roxy Florist. There is no word on what the future plans for the property entail.
Roxy Florist wasn't the only business displaced by the fire as Heavenly Bites and Heavenly Flavors, Salvatore T. Alfano, PA, Fusella Counselors at Law, Kolby’s Place Barber Shop, Winfield Security as well as the Bloomfield Center Alliance all had retail storefronts or office space within the building.
