CEDAR GROVE, NJ – A car was stolen from Glen Rock Rd. in Cedar Grove early Tuesday morning and several parked vehicles in the Reservoir Ridge section of town were broken into according to Cedar Grove Police.
The stolen vehicle, a 2002 Honda, was taken from a Glen Rock Road driveway and it is believed the valet key was in the glove box. In addition, multiple vehicles were entered and rummaged through in at least eight driveways on Glen Rock Road and Oakwood Court. Known to be missing at this time are loose change and a GPS device. Surveillance equipment shows the incidents occurred around 2:30 a.m.
In an effort to reduce opportunity for these types of incidents, police are asking residents to remove all type of keys and key fobs and to lock and alarm vehicles, in addition to securing all valuables.

In addition, police urge residents to consider leaving outside lights on at night and parking vehicles in a garage when possible. Cedar Grove Police ask all residents to be alert to and report any suspicious activity (for example unknown people walking around late at night, car alarms, or unknown vehicles driving in the area) as it occurs.
