Cedar Grove Fire Department to Host Chili Cook Off for a Cause

CEDAR GROVE, NJ – The Cedar Grove Fire Department is hosting a Chili Cook-Off on November 21 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Macedonian Church in Cedar Grove.  All proceeds will benefit Cedar Grove resident Bill Fearon who has been battling a malignant brain tumor since May.

Celebrity guests will include “Chopped “ judge and “Iron Chef” contestant Amanda Freitag, a former Cedar Grove resident, and WPLJ’s Todd Pettengill of the “Todd and Jayde” show who will serve as Master of Ceremonies. 

Chili cooks will have a chance to take on fire house cook Tom Wilson, a member of Cedar Grove Fire Department’s s Center Fire Company for more than 30 Years. Wilson won bragging rights at the 2014 CBS Fire House Chili Cook Off Contest and earned third place at Montclair’s MFEE Chili Cook-Off in April.  Freitag will serve as judge.
