MONTCLAIR, NJ - Deputy Mayor William Hurlock announces the Fifth Annual First Ward Beautification Day which will take place Saturday, April 8, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Volunteers may sign up to complete a variety of tasks, including weeding and planting on public grounds, spreading mulch, painting and repairing park benches, and collecting debris at the following locations: Yantacaw Brook Park, Mountainside Park, Upper Montclair Business District, Upper Montclair Train Station, Carlisle Avenue woods, Montclair Heights Train Station, Mt. Hebron School, Bradford School, Northeast School and the Bonsal Preserve.

"Our volunteers have done a tremendous job in past clean-up days and we're certain that this year will be no different," said Deputy Mayor Hurlock. "It's truly rewarding to see so many people take the time out of their busy schedules to help beautify our community -- just in time for the spring season of upcoming local events."
