EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Aryeh Goodman, 35, the rabbi from the  East Brunswick Chabad Learning Center has been charged with one count of engaging in prostitution with a child and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.  He was one of thirty men charged with having sex with the teenager over a four-week period.

According to the New Jersey Jewish News, Goodman was charged previously with child molestation in 2013 based on events that occurred almost 12 years earlier while he was a counselor at a Chabad camp in Pennsylvania.  In summer 2012, a teenage boy came forward to police and reported having been assaulted by Aryeh Goodman, 30, while at camp in 2001, state police said in an article in the Scranton, PA Times-Tribune.

Goodman has also served as chaplain at Chelsea Assisted Living on Ryders Lane in East Brunswick.  In addition, Goodman has been the director of the religious after-school program at the Hatikvah Charter School, which has recently relocated to Lexington Road.

Accompanied by his attorney, Goodman turned himself in to authorities at the East Brunswick Police Department  on February 6, 2018.
