Essex County Leaders to Honor Autumn Turner for Women's History Month



ESSEX COUNTY, NJ - Autumn Turner, of Montclair will be recognized along with other notable Essex County women during the annual women's history month celebration. 

On Wednesday, March 22nd, County Executive DiVincenzo will host the County’s Annual Women’s History Month Program at the Essex County Hall of Records. During this year’s program, the 2017 Essex County Althea Gibson Leadership Awards will be presented to Margie Heller, Administrative Director of Community Health and Outreach at St. Barnabas Medical Center; Carmen Morales, Vice Principal of Essex County Newark Tech Campus; and Turner, ice skating teacher at Essex County Codey Arena and a contestant on “The Voice.” In addition, special recognition will be presented to 11-year-oldDasia Edmond, author of the children’s book “Uniquely Made: Girls Don’t Play Football.”
