The Millennial Generation, also called the "Echo Boomers" make up about half of the electorate in the United States and now outnumber the Baby Boom generation. Demographers have not pinpointed the start date of this generation, but loosely define the group as being the generation that came into young adulthood in the early 2000's. The date range of their births is usually characterized as 1980 to 2000 or 1985 to 2000.

Despite changing the retail, and workforce landscape, the Millennial generation has not participated in the election process to weild an influence. Voting gives young people the chance to have a say in their own future.

The Youth Voter Registration Day event will take place on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in the Bloomfield Public Library courtyard, at 90 Broad Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
