MONTCLAIR, NJ - Family Service League is pleased to announce it has received a grant from the McMullen Family Foundation of Montclair, NJ to support their Counseling and Sexual Violence Programs. These funds will enable Family Service League to continue to provide counseling, sexual violence crisis intervention services, and sexual violence prevention education programming.
Founded in Montclair in 1881, the mission of Family Service League has remained consistent to support and strengthen families in need in Montclair and surrounding communities through counseling, education, and social services.
The programs include the Family Counseling Program and The Sexual Family Violence Intervention and Prevention Center (SAVE), which is New Jersey's designated Rape Care Center for Essex County. For many who are financially strained, services are provided on a sliding scale basis to eliminate barriers to service. More than 99 percent of counseling clients qualify for reduced rates based upon their income.
