Family Service League Receives Grant From Partners for Health Foundation

Family Service League is pleased to announce it has received a $9,600 capacity building grant from the Partners for Health Foundation of Montclair, NJ to hire a professional grant writer.

Founded in Montclair in 1881, the mission of Family Service League has remained consistent to support and strengthen families in need in Montclair and surrounding communities through counseling, education, and social services. The programs include the Counseling Program and The Sexual Family Violence Intervention and Prevention Center (SAVE), which is New Jersey’s designated Sexual Violence Program for Essex County. For many who are financially strained, counseling services are provided on a sliding scale basis to eliminate barriers to service.

“Having a professional dedicated to raising funds for our operations will surely strengthen our organization financially which in turn, will allow our staff to focus on enhancing programs for our clients and increasing outreach” stated Christine Ferro-Saxon, Family Service League’s Executive Director.
