Glenfield Park Receives Recreation and Parks Association Award

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — The Essex County Turtle Back Zoo's African Adventure and Savanna Café in West Orange, the Glenfield Park Playground in Montclair and South Mountain Family Campout in West Orange recently earned statewide recognition for excellence, according to Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo, Jr.

The New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association (NJRPA) announced that the Essex County Parks System earned three awards during its annual conference and exhibition on March 7.

The African Adventure Giraffe Exhibit and Savanna Café at Turtle Back Zoo in West Orange and the Essex County Glenfield Park Playground in Montclair were given the Excellence in Design Award. In addition, the South Mountain Reservation Family Campout, hosted by Essex County and the South Mountain Conservancy, was given the Excellence in Special Event Programming Award.
