MONTCLAIR, NJ - Halfway There, Montclair’s literary reading series, closes out it's fourth season on Monday, June 17th at the Red Eye Cafe (94 Walnut Street, Montclair). The evening will feature poet Jen DeGregorio, Michele Filgate (What My Mother and I Don't Talk About), Jaclyn Gilbert (Late Air), and T Kira Madden, whose book, Long Live the Tribe of Fatherless Girls, made Entertainment Weekly's list of Most Anticipated Books of 2019. 

Doors open at 6:30 P.M. for coffee and mingling, readings begin at 7 P.M. and will be followed by an audience Q&A, with time after for book-buying and signing. As always, this is a FREE event, but an RSVP is appreciated. This is a free event.

Halfway There aims to bring together established and emerging literary voices, as well as local and visiting writers of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Founded in 2015, Halfway There has proven to be an exciting addition to Montclair's vibrant artistic community, showcasing a diverse range of writers including Laurie Lico Albanese, Alice Elliot Dark, Nicole Dennis-Benn, Marcy Dermansky, Elisabeth Egan, Melissa Febos, Hillary Frank, Lauren Grodstein, 2018 MacArthur fellow John Keene, 2018 PEN/Faulkner Award winner Joan Silber, and Matthew Thomas.
