Inner City Special Needs Students to Visit Montclair for Day of Pampering

MONTCLAIR, NJ - On Monday, May 4, Jazz House Kids sponsor a morning field trip for local inner-city youths. The day of beauty, pampering and health for the students, parents and caregivers of the John F. Kennedy School, a special education school in Newark, will take place at the Bobbi Brown Studio, 8 Lackawanna Plaza.

Local community businesses will be volunteering their time and talents to create a very special day of feel good services. Jazz House Kids is a Montclair-based nonprofit that provides arts education.

Pampering services will be provided by the following Montclair businesses:

* Bath Salt Workshop by Pooka, Inc

* Food by Mac Attack, Alan's Avenue Deli

Sponsored by the Silver Family Foundation, the Jazz House Kids Vocal and Instrumental Music Club, Jazz House Kids is in its second year providing weekly education and music performance training to the John F. Kennedy School. The district-wide middle-secondary special education school, currently has three special service programs for Autistic, Multiple Disabilities with Moderate Cognitive Involvement and the Medically Fragile.
