January Musical Tribute Concerts Covering Zeppelin, Prince, Soundgarden

MONTCLAIR, NJ - School of Rock Montclair will present a series of tribute concerts throughout January featuring their Performance Program students.  Admission to all of the concerts is free, and the shows will be held at Just Jakes and the newly opened Old Mogul Theatre.

“Our incredibly talented Performance Program students range in age from 7 to 17, and they’ve been rehearsing their repertoires since September,” says School of Rock Montclair General Manager Kevin March.  “These concerts capture the essence of School of Rock’s unique performance-based music education philosophy, which is that we don’t teach our students music to put on shows, we put on shows to teach our students music.  Audiences can expect to enjoy amazing performances that will get their feet stomping, fists pumping, and butts shaking.”

• “GODMOTHERS OF ROCK & ROLL” - featuring pioneering Top 40 gems by The Crystals, The Ronettes, and more

Doors: 11AM

• “AMERICANA” - featuring guitar-driven rock hits by Tom Petty, Lucinda Williams, Alabama Shakes, and more

Doors: 2:30PM

Show: 3PM

 

Sunday, 1/10 at Old Mogul Theatre (180 Bloomfield Ave., Montclair)

• “SOUNDGARDEN” - featuring the influential band’s greatest hits, which combined 70s hard rock with 80s D.I.Y. punk attitude

• “LED ZEPPELIN” - featuring a wide range of diverse hits, classics, and anthems by arguably the world’s greatest rock and roll band
