MONTCLAIR, NJ – The Junior League of Montclair-Newark (JLMN) announced it is hosting their annual spring street fair online this year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The virtual event will take place over a three day period from June 1st - June 3rd 2020 and will feature social media postings promoting the event sponsors, many local artists and merchants, as well as the Walnut Street businesses typically involved with the fair.
“Last year’s Walnut Street Fair was a big hit and drew in approximately 7,500 attendees who came out to support the vendors and Walnut Street Businesses. Even though this year’s Fair was cancelled, we want to do our small part to continue to promote them. Our community’s continued support of our locally owned businesses is vital,” said Stephanie Hutton, President of the Junior League of Montclair-Newark, Inc.
Supporting this year’s virtual fair is easy. Whether it’s ordering food for delivery or curbside pickup, purchasing gift cards to be used at a later date, or purchasing a household item over the phone that can then be picked up curbside, every lit bit helps.
"We're hoping that people really step up and support not only our local businesses, but our vendors that really need your help during this time,” said Hutton.
The Virtual Street Fair is live and open to the public now.
