EAST ORANGE, NJ - The Montclair Art Museum Art Truck and visual artist Willie Cole entertained those interested in physical art during the City of East Orange's first Music, Arts & Cultural Festival held on June 13 to a crowd of hundreds of fun loving concert-goers.

The plaza was filled with vendors selling food and beauty supplies, artisan creations, art work and giveaways from nonprofits. There were face painters and clowns for the children, and music to suit the palate of all ages and tastes.

East Orange’s own, Vinnie Brown from Grammy Award-winning hip hop trio Naughty by Nature served as host - introducing exciting performances from George Washington Carver Drill Team, Maurice Chestnut and Cicely Tyson Students, East Orange YOPATS “Empire” Program and a sidewalk Catwalk hosted by Tyrone Chablis.

The feeling among the event participants was echoed by one unidentified patron “MAC Fest is long overdue”.
