GLEN RIDGE - Senior Lindsey Ewertsen scored five goals and had one assist, helping Montclair to a 14-12 over Glen Ridge at Glen Ridge High School on Tuesday.

Ewertsen, who will be taking her goal scoring talents to Columbia University next year, has 30 goals and 10 assists this season,  contributing to the Mounties’ excellent 6-2 start of the season.

With a very even first half, Montclair found themselves trailing by one point, walking off to halftime 7-6.

After the teams came back, the Mounties was able to finally find their rhythm, connecting a sequence of passes that concluded in a two back to back goals from Ewertsen and Julia Albert, who scored four goals and had one assist.

Montclair’s collective play and experience proved to be the crucial point in walking away victorious, as the team offered no opportunities for Glen Ridge to make any sort reaction in the end of the match.

Senior Amanda Romano scored on goal and provided three assists, scoring four points while Junior goalie Maggie Bigelow made four saves

Montclair, who’s now on a three-game winning streak, hopes to get their fourth consecutive win when they face Mt. Saint Dominic Academy at Egan Field Essex Fells Tuesday evening.
