VERONA, NJ - Montclair girls lacrosse players competed in 7-on-7 scrimmages in a summer league sponsored by the Caldwell Lacrosse Club in conjunction with Verona Lacrosse Club.

Girl’s teams from Verona, Cedar Grove, Caldwell, Montclair, Glen Ridge, Sparta and Rockaway/Denville competed weekly for four weeks, playing two 25-minute games per night at Centennial Field in Verona. Training the players early is what prepares them for a winning season in high school and college.

The Montclair High School Girls Lacrosse had a winning season last year. They ended the season by making history after winning the Essex County Tournament for the first time in program history. They beat West Essex, 14-13, in triple overtime thanks to a Rebecca van Siclen's goal.
