MONTCLAIR, NJ - Montclair Township officials are warning residents of a 3rd party bill payment service that may mislead users into thinking they are paying directly to the Township of Montclair.

On Wednesday, Montclair Township issued a press release stating that, "Google search results for Montclair on-line bill payments may yield a website that appears to be affiliated with the Township of Montclair but is not -–" is a third-party website that allows people to pay utility bills via their site, officials warn potential users.

The release further warns that the delay in payment, due to this 3rd part service could possibly, "lead to service disconnection due to non-payment or interest charges for late payment."
