07-28-2017 (Bellevue Avenue) Mr. Thomas Purnell, 59yoa from Newark, was arrested after being observed trespassing in the rear yard of a residence.  He was found to be in possession of burglary tools.  He was also held on an open warrant out of East Orange.  




07-25-2017 (Glenridge Avenue) Theft of a motorcycle from an apartment complex parking area.  


07-25-2017 (Upper Mountain Avenue) Theft from an unlocked motor vehicle.  Loose change, cellular telephone, and charger were taken.  


07-25-2017 (Forest Street) Burglary to the basement storage area of an apartment building.  A bicycle was taken in this incident.  


07-26-2017 (Walnut Street Station) Theft of a bicycle, which had been left locked to the station bike rack.  


07-27-2017 (Van Breeman Court) Theft of a GPS unit from an unlocked motor vehicle.  


07-27-2017 (Riverview Drive West)  Theft of loose change from an unlocked motor vehicle.  


07-27-2017 (Squire Hill Road) Theft of a GPS unit from an unlocked motor vehicle.  


07-27-2017 (Montclair Library, South Fullerton Avenue) Theft of an unlocked bicycle from the library bike rack.  


07-27-2017 (South Fullerton Avenue) Theft of a scooter from the front porch of a residence.  


07-28-2017 (Kings, Valley Road) Theft of two purses from an unlocked vehicle.  


07-29-2017 (Orange Road) Burglary to an apartment.  Access was gained by damaging a door screen.  Jewelry was taken in this incident.  


07-29-2017 (Tony the Tiger, Bellevue Avenue) Burglary to a commercial establishment.  Access was gained through a window.  Cash was taken in this incident.  


07-29-2017 (Rand Parking Lot) Theft from a parked motor vehicle.  Access was gained by smashing out a passenger window.  Jewelry was taken in this incident.  


07-29-2017 (Claremont Avenue) Burglary to a detached garage.  A bicycle was taken in this incident.  There we no signs of forced entry.
