MONTCLAIR, NJ-the Montclair Police Department held its first annual trunk or treat event on Halloween. 

Dozens of children dressed in costume came to participate in the festivities. Police vehicles were decorated and children were giving. candy as they. circulated the lot. The first annual event was designed to provide a safe alternative to trick-or-treating for families.

Sgt. Tyrone Williams, Det. Kim Nelson-Edwards and other officers were on hand to greet families as they arrived.
